Overview
5a Ronda was introducing a new restaurant concept into the McAllen area and needed to overcome preconceptions and improve brand awareness in order to grow its customer base. By building messaging, branding, and strategy, CODESM delivered dramatic results and established 5a Ronda as an appealing new dining and entertainment option in the area.
The Challenge
When 5a Ronda opened its doors in McAllen, it faced two challenges: Introducing the concept of a Mexican cantina style restaurant to the market and overcoming its location’s previous association with dancing, not eating. To get the McAllen area feeling the beat of their brand, 5a Ronda turned to CODESM for a new narrative and a multi-channel approach to promoting their business.
The Approach
CODESM’s approach was to develop an educational, multi channel marketing approach. This approach included the creation of a cohesive messaging strategy and a new narrative focused on 5a Ronda’s business concept. In addition, CODESM created new content, including a video focused on describing the Mexican cantina style of restaurant and material focused on the food 5a Ronda had to offer.
Once developed, all of these tools became part of a marketing campaign that leveraged top marketing channels to promote the new brand in McAllen. These included Facebook and Instagram, ads, vibrant print collateral, robust search engine optimization, and active directory management.
